Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 during an Olympic celebration. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at the age of six. Later, she would become Romania's gymnastics coach. Comaneci participated for the first time at the national junior championships. She finished 13th. Following that, she won the title of champion. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an all-around junior champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver in her first international competition for seniors which took place in the year 1975. This was the first time she had competed as an adult. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman in history to dismount the bars in parallel with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen she began her career in the entertainment business by performing in the form of figure skater. With her brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career as an entertainer as a teen. The path she took to success began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
